Getafe 1 - 0 Real Betis: Getafe pile more misery on Real Betis boss Pepe Mel

Alvaro Vazquez scored the only goal as Getafe beat Real Betis 1-0 to pile more pressure on Pepe Mel.
The Catalan striker's second-half goal condemned Betis boss Mel to a fourth straight defeat in all competitions and his side have now gone eight games without a win.
Betis captain Ruben Castro could have given the visitors an early lead in a cagey game when he let fly from outside the area but Getafe defender Santiago Vergini got in the way to force a corner.
The hosts had the stronger finish to the first half, Victor Rodriguez forcing a strong save from Antonio Adan and Pablo Sarabia failing to finish off a fine individual move, looking for a team-mate when it would have been wiser to go for goal alone.
Vazquez broke the deadlock on 57 minutes by turning in Roberto Lago's cross to score his fourth goal of the season.
Betis could muster little response, their only notable chance of equalising falling to Alfred N'Diaye, but Vicente Guaita saved comfortably.
