Sheffield United vs Bradford AFC - Blades hopeful Jay McEveley and Chris Basham

Sheffield United pair Jay McEveley and Chris Basham are hoping to shake off injury in time for the home game against Bradford.

McEveley (hamstring) and Basham (unspecified) were both doubtful for the postponed Boxing Day fixture at Wigan, while fellow defender Bob Harris (foot) is hoping to return to contention.

Midfielder Florent Cuvelier could feature for the first time this season following injury but forward Che Adams sits out the final game of his three-match ban.

Midfielder Ryan Flynn and winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce are pushing for recalls as the Blades chase a third straight league win.

Bradford pair Billy Knott and James Meredith are both hoping to return to the starting line-up.

Boss Phil Parkinson has no new injury concerns, but must decide whether to stick with Gary Liddle in midfield and Greg Leigh at left-back or recall Knott and Meredith respectively.

Bradford, whose scheduled Boxing Day clash with Burton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Valley Parade, are bidding for a fifth win in seven league matches.

Winger Mark Marshall, plus strikers Devante Cole, Luke James and Jordan Bowery are all in contention, while midfielder Josh Morris, Filipe Morais and fellow winger Paul Anderson (all knee) remain long-term absentees.
