Dinamo Zagreb vs Bayern Munich: Franck Ribery says Bayern are ready to bounce back

Franck Ribery insists Bayern Munich are not dwelling on their defeat at the weekend as they head to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

Bayern's unbeaten start in the Bundesliga ended on Saturday with a surprise 3-1 loss at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Ribery came off the bench in that game for his first appearance in nine months following an ankle injury and the France forward wasted little time in getting back into his stride, taking just six minutes to score what was only a consolation goal for his team.

Bayern have only pride to play for in Croatia, having already guaranteed qualification from Group F as winners, but Ribery wants to get the weekend reverse out of his system as quickly as possible.

"We need to quickly forget the Gladbach loss and focus on winning the next match," he told the club's official website.

"We wanted to keep the run going but now it is over and we start again on Wednesday.

"It feels good to be back after being sidelined for so long so I hope to play. I still need time, I need to find my rhythm, and have good training."

Thiago Alcantara and Douglas Costa have resumed training after injury absences but the latter may not be risked.

With qualification assured Bayern head coach Pep Guardiola will rest goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, with Sven Ulreich expected to make only his second start since joining from VfB Stuttgart in the summer.

Dinamo are consigned to a fourth-placed finish in the group and elimination from European competition for this season.

However, Zoran Mamic's side head into the game on a high after a last-gasp victory over derby rivals Hajduk Split at the weekend courtesy of Hilal El Arbi Soudani's winner deep into injury time.

Dinamo captain Domagoj Antolic hopes his team can continue to build on that with another good performance against Bayern.

"We deserved to win. We had hoped to return to first place and I hope we can continue like this in the future," he told the club's official website.
