Sheffield United vs Oldham Athletic AFC - David Edgar and Jamal Campbell-Ryce are doubts

Sheffield United pair David Edgar and Jamal Campbell-Ryce are injury doubts for the visit of Oldham.

Defender Edgar recently returned from a hamstring injury but was forced off late on in last week's derby draw at Barnsley, while winger Campbell-Ryce was withdrawn due to a hamstring strain.

Jay McEveley and Martyn Woolford could return to the starting line-up if Edgar and Campbell-Ryce fail to make it, while midfielder Stefan Scougall (hamstring) remains doubtful after missing the last two games.

The club confirmed this week that Jose Baxter had been disciplined for an unspecified "incident over the weekend" and it remains to be seen if the midfielder will be included in the squad.

Oldham's options will be limited by those loanees who are unavailable to boss David Dunn.

Striker Michael Higdon will not play against his parent club, Jay Fulton does not have permission to feature from Swansea while recent recruit Richie Wellens has already represented Doncaster in this competition.

Dunn has vowed to make changes following a run of three defeats on the spin but defender Cameron Dummigan is still struggling with a groin strain.

Last year's top scorer Jonathan Forte remains absent with a knee injury and Lee Croft (ankle) is also sidelined.
