Real Madrid considering surprise bid for Barcelona star Neymar

Real Madrid might be prepared to might a sensational swoop for Barcelona forward Neymar, according to AS, (via Goal).

The Brazil captain snubbed Real Madrid for Barcelona when he left Santos to join the Catalans two years ago in a big-money deal. The forward has made huge strides since then, having improved his game dramatically to become one of the best players in the world.

Neymar has made it into the final three-man shortlist for the Ballon d’or award for 2015, alonside teammate Lionel Messi and Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Neymar is in incredible form this season, combining well with Luis Suarez in Lionel Messi’s injury absence; he now boasts a tally of 14 goals in 12 La Liga appearances for the 2015/16 campaign.
The 23-year-old is reportedly a target for a number of top sides, with Barcelona keen to secure the Brazilian’s signature for the long term.

Neymar has a passing accuracy of 80% in La Liga this season.

Very few players have pulled on the blue and red of the Blaugrana and the white of Real but some have been huge legends of the game including Luis Figo, Michael Laudrup and even current Barcelona coach Luis Enrique who played for both clubs in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Neymar was excellent last season as Barcelona won the treble, scoring 22 goals in 33 league appearances for Los Cules. This season, Barcelona have been excellent with Neymar being a key attacking outlet, creating 48 chances already in 12 games – just four less than last campaign.
