Rafa Benitez will not stand in the way of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez if he decides to sell Cristiano Ronaldo next summer, according to the Mirror.
The current Los Blancos manager is aware that his star player could be put up for sale at the end of the season with Perez keen to kickstart a new era at the club.
Ronaldo has achieved more than he ever could have hoped for with regards to individual accolades. He has won two Ballon d'Or awards as a Real Madrid player and has become their all-time top goal scorer.
However, despite a tremendous goal-scoring record, his welcome at the Bernabeu appears to be expiring and Perez knows he can reclaim a large chunk of money by selling him.
And Benitez is not overly concerned with the prospect of losing the 30-year-old. The £60m they would likely claim from his sale could be reinvested in the squad, allowing the Spaniard to make his own mark on the team.
