Nasri outrage at being named in Valbuena sex-tape scandal

Samir Nasri has denied any involvement in the Mathieu Valbuena sex-tape scandal after a report in France claimed he is named in the case file as being aware of the alleged blackmail of the Lyon star.

A lengthy interview with Valbuena was published in Le Monde on Friday in which the newspaper notes that Nasri's name has come up in court proceedings.

Denying the accusations, the Manchester City midfielder appeared to believe Valbuena, rather than Le Monde, had named him and said he would be speaking to his former France team-mate.

"The fact that he is putting me in this situation… I will have a discussion with him," Nasri told RMC. "Honestly, I do not care about this sex tape story. It is not my problem, not my situation.

"He is the victim, but he must not bring my name out. We are not friends. We will never be. But other people's misfortune does not make me happy."

Meanwhile, the French Football Federation (FFF) has announced it will file civil proceedings in relation to the case involving Valbuena and Karim Benzema, who has been charged with complicity in the attempted blackmail.

Sylvain Cormier, Benzema's agent, has protested his client's innocence.

Parties such as the FFF are able to bring a civil action and make a claim for compensation under French law if they feel they have suffered damage or injury.

"The FFF has decided to be Partie Civile in the Karim Benzema/Mathieu Valbuena case," its statement read. "The FFF reserves the right to take the appropriate measures subject to the evolution of the case."
