Leyton Orient vs AFC Wimbledon - Orient wait over Jay Simpson fitness

Leyton Orient have been left to sweat on striker Jay Simpson's fitness ahead of hosting AFC Wimbledon in Saturday's League Two clash.

Simpson fired his 14th goal of the season in Orient's 1-1 draw at Plymouth Argyle, only to hobble out before half-time with ankle trouble.

Head coach Ian Hendon is likely to give his in-form forward as much chance of featuring as possible, with Lloyd James poised to start if required at Brisbane Road.

Captain Mathieu Baudry is another doubt having failed to make it back for the Plymouth clash after hip trouble.

Cardiff loan goalkeeper Ben Wilson will be looking to make amends after his mistake cost AFC Wimbledon a share of the spoils against Dagenham in midweek.

The 23-year-old's solid start to his loan spell at Kingsmeadow turned sour when his error gifted Jamie Curteon the winner in the 1-0 home loss.

Now Neal Ardley's men know they must raise their level again to take on high-fliers Orient this weekend.

Sean Rigg and Adebayo Azeez could come into contention for starting places as manager Ardley plots Wimbledon's route back to winning ways.
