Darmstadt 0 - 0 Koln: Cologne held
Posted Saturday, November 28, 2015 by PA
Cologne picked up the third 0-0 draw in their last four games and extended Darmstadt's winless run to five with a goalless draw on Friday night.
The hosts were unable to build on a strong start to the game, in which they had the better chances, and allowed Cologne to grow in confidence as the clock ticked on.
The first fixture between these two sides in 33 years was largely a defensive affair with chances at a premium, although Anthony Modeste should have done more with his best chance shortly before half-time.
Simon Zoller wasted two further chances in the second half for the Goats.
Cologne moved up to eighth with the point, while Darmstadt moved five points above the bottom three, ahead of the rest of the weekend's matches.
