Monchengladbach 2 - 1 Hannover 96: Raffael strikes to hand Monchengladbach boss Andre Schubert a welcome win

Borussia Monchengladbach marked Andre Schubert's first game as their new full-time head coach with a 2-1 win over struggling Hannover at the Borussia Park Stadion, extending their recent unbeaten run to eight matches.
Ibrahima Traore gave the Foals the lead 10 minutes before the interval, sending his shot through Ron-Robert Zieler's legs from excellent play by Mahmoud Dahoud.
Yann Sommer made a great save to deny Kenan Karaman just before half-time as Monchengladbach deservedly took a 1-0 lead into the break, but Artur Sobiech brought Hannover level midway through the second half, thanks to a bit of luck in blocking Sommer's clearance and then tucking in the loose ball.
It looked like the home side may have been heading for just a draw for the second Bundesliga game in a row, until Raffael converted Andreas Christensen's effort first time to make it a day to savour for Schubert.
