Bristol City vs Hull City - Bristol City will wait on Jonathan Kodjia ahead of Hull clash

Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill will assess top scorer Jonathan Kodjia's state of mind ahead of Hull's visit to Ashton Gate.

Paris-born Kodjia was in his home city last weekend when 129 people lost their lives during a series of deadly attacks.

Asked about Kodjia, Cotterill told Bristol City Player HD: "I've spoken with him, he's okay and I'll do so again before Saturday to ensure he's all right."

Midfielder Scott Wagstaff hopes to make the matchday squad after a calf problem while teenage goalkeeper Max O'Leary will be on the bench after the Robins cut short Ben Hamer's season-long loan and he returned to Leicester.

Hull will be without midfielder David Meyler after he suffered a knee injury during a training session with the Republic of Ireland during the recent international break.

Meyler could be out for up to eight weeks after tearing a medial ligament in a collision with Stoke's Marc Wilson.

Defenders Alex Bruce (groin) and Curtis Davies (calf) are expected to be back in contention while Abel Hernandez and Mo Diame will be checked after long-haul flights to join up with Uruguay and Senegal respectively.

Winger Robert Snodgrass, out since dislocating his kneecap on the first day of last season, has stepped up his comeback with a 90-minute run-out for the club's Under-21s this week.
