Yeovil Town vs Stevenage Borough - Yeovil boss Paul Sturrock prepared for testing run

Paul Sturrock is hoping his Yeovil players can deal with what has been a testing run of games when they welcome Stevenage to Huish Park.

The visit of their Sky Bet League Two rivals will be the Glovers' third game in six days but Sturrock, who is hoping captain Ryan Dickson will be fine to take his place in the side, has looked to give his players a break between a congested fixture list.

"We are trying to rest our players, get them off their legs. We have done enough on the training ground now. It is a big tussle for us on Saturday. We soldier on with the boys from the other day," he told the club's official website.

On-loan Coventry winger George Thomas is away on international duty with Wales but Harry Cornick has extended his loan spell from Bournemouth and remains available for Sturrock.

Stevenage boss Teddy Sheringham must decide whether to make any changes from the team which recorded a morale-boosting 3-0 win over League One side Gillingham in the FA Cup.

Sheringham, whose men have recorded only one League Two win in 10 outings, got the required response after the 5-1 home drubbing by Oxford as Steven Schumacher, Chris Whelpdale and Armand Gnanduillet were all on target.

Defender Jamie McCombe is available again following a one-match suspension but veteran midfielder Michael Tonge is serving a three-game ban after being shown a red card against the U's for a two-footed tackle.

Midfielder Charlie Lee could be back after sitting out the cup tie because of a knee problem, but forward Ben Kennedy misses out as he is away with Northern Ireland Under-19s, while teenage striker Dipo Akinyemi is on a month's loan at Aldershot.
