Didcot Town vs Exeter City - Player/boss Heapy winning fitness race ahead of cup clash

Didcot joint-manager Ian Concannon is desperate for his side to concentrate on the job at hand in the FA Cup first round against Exeter.

Fellow joint-boss Jamie Heapy is set to be fit for the televised tie while forwards Mark Janes and Mark Francis are both vying to be available.

And though Concannon admits there will be a "nervousness" before the game, he wants his players to remain calm despite being the lowest ranked team left in the competition.

He told the Oxfordshire Guardian: "We are trying to keep things as normal as we can, make it business as usual and to keep the players out of all the hysteria that's surrounding the game."

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale will be desperate to avoid a repeat of last season's embarrassing defeat to Warrington Town at the same stage.

Tisdale has seen his side's injury problems eased with Manny Oyeleke pushing for a start after returning to the bench for last week's loss at Barnet following a groin strain.

Tom McCready is set to continue at right back in favour of Jordan Moore-Taylor, while Lee Holmes could also return after missing two games.

But three Grecians players - Matt Oakley, Craig Woodman and Will Hoskins - are not expected to be fit to face the non-league side.
