Glasgow Rangers vs Alloa Athletic - Rob Kiernan not feeling the pressure from Hibs

Rob Kiernan insists Rangers are not feeling the heat from Hibernian despite letting the Leith men close to within five points.

The Ibrox league leaders saw their unbeaten start to the Ladbrokes Championship campaign smashed when they lost 2-1 at Easter Road last Sunday.

Gers could have gone 11 points clear with victory over Alan Stubbs men but Paul Hanlon's winner means the title race is very much back on.

But, ahead of Saturday's Ibrox meeting with bottom side Alloa, Kiernan believes his side will not be ruffled.

He said: "It's been a great reaction, the lads have dusted themselves down, we've trained well, had our meetings and our analysis and we're ready to go again.

"We were all disappointed last Sunday and the manager has done his stuff and given us bits and bobs that we can work on.

"The focus now is to just go again and start another run and that is what we're going to do. I don't really look behind me, I think it's happened and we still are a good team, still have good players and a great management.

"We don't feel under any extra pressure now, we'll just carry on doing our stuff, play the way we play and I'm sure the results will come again."

Kenny Miller has returned to Mark Warburton's squad after being ruled out with a groin strain as the Ibrox men slipped to defeat to Hibs.

Winger David Templeton and keeper Cammy Bell both remain out with knee injuries.

Alloa are unable to use midfielder Robbie Crawford, who is on loan from the Ibrox club, with manager Danny Lennon including Michael Doyle after he shook off a knock.

Lennon said: "Not many people will give us a chance of taking anything from Rangers however I do not think like that. Football has seen many upsets over many years and there is no reason why we cannot cause one.

"We have to go to Rangers and look to play at our very best. They will be hurting after losing to Hibs but if we believe that we can win then we have a chance."
