Bury vs Blackpool - Daniel Bachmann set for Bury bow

Posted Friday, October 30, 2015 by PA

Goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann is set to make his Bury debut in Saturday's Sky Bet League One home clash with Blackpool.

Bachmann has been signed on loan from Stoke for a month after fellow stopper Aaron McCarey sustained a groin injury only one game in following his arrival on a similar deal from Wolves and returned to his parent club.

Forward Lee Erwin is in contention to return after missing two matches with tonsillitis, and striker Ryan Lowe (calf) could also be back involved.

Craig Jones, Danny Pugh (both abductor), Daniel Nardiello (back), Kelvin Etuhu (leg), Andrew Tutte (hamstring) and Rob Lainton (hip) remain sidelined.

Blackpool will have Martin Paterson back in their squad for the trip.

The former Burnley striker has been plagued by a hamstring issue since signing at Bloomfield Road and has only managed one start, but Seasiders boss Neil McDonald has confirmed he will be fit enough to return at Gigg Lane.

McDonald has no other new injury or suspension concerns and Hayden White will hope to once again keep Emmerson Boyce out of the team after the ex-Wigan right-back had to settle for a place on the bench last time following his return from a hamstring injury.

The only definitely absentee for McDonald is Liverpool loanee Lloyd Jones (ankle).
