Lahm: Arsenal defeat was 'very bitter'

Bayern München captain Philipp Lahm admits that the 2-0 loss to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday was very tough to take.
The Gunners were in desperate need of a win in Champions League group F and got all three points thanks to late goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil.
"For the most part we controlled the match well," Lahm said. "If our build-up play is good our opponents can hardly press - and that's what happened today.
"We had some problems before the break because we were too aggressive. The defeat is very, very bitter. We had great chances against a very, very good team, but at the decisive moments we didn't score."
Although Bayern still sit top of the group, alongside Olympiakos on six points, it was their first defeat of the season, ending a run of 12 consecutive wins in all competitions.
Die Roten currently lead the Bundesliga standings by seven points with a perfect record of nine wins out of nine so far, and face 1. FC Köln at Allianz Arena on Saturday.
