Queens Park Rangers vs Sheffield Wed. - James Perch banned as Rangers host Wednesday

QPR will be without James Perch through suspension when they host Sheffield Wednesday.

Full-back Perch serves a one-match ban after he was booked for the fifth time this season during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Birmingham, so Gabriele Angella is poised to return to the back four.

Striker Charlie Austin faces another fortnight on the sidelines with a hamstring injury while a torn hamstring will keep winger Jamie Mackie out until December.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is therefore set to keep his place up front.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Marco Matias is an injury doubt despite returning to the bench as an unused substitute for Saturday's home draw against Hull.

Head coach Carlos Carvalhal will make a late check on the Portuguese, while Spanish midfielder Alex Lopez is definitely still out.

Carvalhal, who has no new injury problems, could make changes with Lewis McGugan, Atdhe Nuhiu, Jose Semedo, Jeremy Helan and Glenn Loovens all in contention.

The Owls, ninth in the table, are bidding to extend their unbeaten league run to six matches.
