Rochdale vs Coventry - Defender Joe Rafferty an injury concern for Rochdale ahead of Coventry's visit

Joe Rafferty is the latest injury concern for Rochdale as they welcome Coventry to Spotland.

The defender came off in the first half of the 0-0 draw with Bury and went for a scan on Monday to find out how serious his stomach strain was.

Ian Henderson and Calvin Andrew (both foot) were substitutes at Gigg Lane and could come into consideration for starts, while Callum Camps was also back in the fold after international duty.

However, Rhys Bennett (hamstring) continues to miss out and Peter Vincenti (ankle) may have to battle on again after completing 90 minutes at the weekend.

Joe Cole is set for his Coventry debut after his surprise loan move to the Ricoh Arena.

The former England international could start following his move from Aston Villa, although boss Tony Mowbray admitted he is unlikely to last the whole game as Cole builds match fitness.

Reda Johnson is out though after the defender limped out for Saturday's 0-0 draw with Blackpool with a hamstring strain which could sideline him for up to six weeks.

Jordan Willis is closing in on a return to training following a knee problem but will not be fit for the trip while James Maddison continues to be sidelined by an ankle injury and is not expected back until the New Year.
