JOHN STONES will be available for Everton's game against Manchester United, Roberto Martinez has confirmed.

The England centre-back has missed the Toffees' last two games due to a knee injury and didn't feature for Roy Hodgson in the final two Euro 2016 qualifiers.

However, Martinez believes he will be in good shape to face United on Saturday (3pm) despite being short of match sharpness.

"I think he should be ready," he said.

"Remember that John has been having a lot of quality work at Finch Farm and it will be a matter of just getting that match fitness.

"We have still got three very important days ahead of that fixture in terms of preparation so we'll get a better idea on Friday of where John is.

"I would say medically he is ready now. He's been joining the group and from a medical point of view I don't think there is a concern or worry."

Everton will also have right-back Seamus Coleman at their disposal on Saturday after he returned to the first team following a hamstring problem.

The 27-year-old played his first match in a month when he turned out for the Republic of Ireland against Poland on Sunday.
