Daniel Sturridge looked in good spirits as he posed for a selfie with Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho ahead of Liverpool training on Tuesday morning.

The trio were gearing up for a morning session at the Reds’ Melwood training complex as they begin their preparations for their first game under newly-appointed manager Jurgen Klopp next weekend.

Klopp will attempt to steer Liverpool back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime as he bids to guide his side to victory at Tottenham Hotspur in his first game in charge of the Merseyside outfit.

And the Liverpool trio looked in high spirits as they posed for a selfie at the Reds’ training ground on Tuesday morning.

Sakho posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Back to training !! #Liverpool #LFC #YNWA”

Liverpool head into Saturday’s game in 10th place in the Premier League table and six points behind leaders Manchester City.

The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton in their most recent outing – their last game under Brendan Rodgers.
