Carlo Ancelotti says he's on his way to PL job, Manchester first stop

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is still enjoying his holidays. The Italian media have been following his travels and regularly carry photographs of him fishing, visiting famous landmarks, or generally just enjoying himself.

Sooner or later the time will come for Ancelotti to return to football and he has quite distinct plans for where he wants to be. Speaking to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport for their Monday edition, Ancelotti explained that he's keen on a return to the Premier League.

Ancelotti has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. The Merseyside club have just appointed Jurgen Klopp, Manchester United have Louis van Gaal and Chelsea have insisted they're happy with Jose Mourinho. However, with perhaps the added clubs of Manchester City and Arsenal, there's not really a lot of teams in England who would have the pull for Ancelotti.

The Italian's comments are going to lead to links with the mentioned clubs. Should Manchester United have a poor run of results under Van Gaal then it's obvious Ancelotti will be linked, and the same would go for Mourinho and Chelsea.

Ancelotti has been quoted as saying "In January I'm ready to get back on my bike. I would go back in the Premier League."

Before then, Ancelotti has said he'll be on his way to Manchester to manage a side in a charity match. David Beckham has arranged a match at Manchester United's Old Trafford and Ancelotti is lending a helping hand. The trip will help Ancelotti's profile rise further in England, ahead of that move he fancies in January.

Asked whether Manchester United could win the league this year, Ancelotti said he didn't think so because Manchester City are stronger.
