Klopp denies having Bayern talks

Jurgen Klopp has rejected suggestions he was considering a potential move to Bayern München at the end of the season, prior to penning terms with Liverpool this week.

The 48-year-old was linked with the Bayern post in recent weeks, with doubts remaining over Pep Guardiola's willingness to commit his future to the Bavarian giants.

While Klopp admits he did receive 'several offers' after parting ways with Dortmund at the end of the 2014/15 season, he insists Liverpool was the only club he spoke to.

He also expressed his hope that Guardiola would stay in charge of Bayern for 10 more years.

"I don't know anything about that [the Bayern rumours] and this is not relevant to me," Klopp told Sky Germany.

"Bayern are a fantastic club but I don't go on holidays and wait for someone to call me. I have done many things that I found interesting and exciting and I have used the time to meet loads of great people and I would have met many more.

"I never had a certain career plan and I can assure you that I never talked to Bayern München. I also hope that Guardiola will stay there for another 10 years.

"I didn't want to coach many clubs. Of course I had concrete offers, but Liverpool is the only club I have actually spoken to."
