Luton Town vs York City - Craig Mackail-Smith worry for Luton
Posted Friday, October 09, 2015 by PA
Luton striker Craig Mackail-Smith is an injury doubt for the home game against York.
Mackail-Smith was forced out of last week's win at Hartlepool after sustaining a hamstring injury and missed the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Gillingham.
Boss John Still will be without winger Paddy McCourt, who is away on international duty with Northern Ireland, while right-back Stephen O'Donnell is still struggling with an ankle problem.
Striker Paul Benson has had an injection to help resolve a neck problem that has kept him out since the end of August.
York striker Rhys Turner will return to the squad having been ineligible for the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy win against Doncaster.
But Turner may have to settle for a place on the bench as Vadaine Oliver returned from a three-game ban to score both goals on Tuesday night.
Defender Eddie Nolan remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury, striker Jake Hyde is working his way back from a double hernia operation and midfielder Luke Summerfield is still recovering from the affects of concussion.
Boss Russ Wilcox is expected to name an unchanged starting line-up with John McCombe resuming at the heart of defence and Dave Winfield on the bench again.
