Ex-Chelsea boss Ancelotti rules out Liverpool move as Klopp appointment nears completion
CARLO ANCELOTTI has seemingly ruled himself out of taking the job at Liverpool, effectively clearing the way for Jurgen Klopp's appointment.

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Ancelotti had been among the front-runners for the Anfield hot-seat following Brendan Rodgers' sacking on Sunday.
It is understood that Ancelotti and Klopp are the Reds' two main candidates but now the Italian has played down any chance of taking the role.
Ancelotti has revealed that he is ready to come back to full-time management, but indicated he is thinking more in terms of next season.

"I enjoy my time now but, of course, I want to come back to manage - to work - because it is my passion," he said.
"I want to take my time to rest, but next season I am ready."
His comments would suggest that Klopp will now be announced as Liverpool's new main man.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund coach is expected to sign a three-year contract at Anfield with his deal set to be confirmed before Friday.
While Klopp has been widely backed to take over on Merseyside, one former Reds great wanted to see Ancelotti at the helm.
Kevin Keegan reckons his former club should appoint Ancelotti with Steven Gerrard as his number two.
