Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Marco Amelia has been training with his side for a few days and that he is interested in signing the out-of-contract keeper as cover for Asmir Begovic.
Thibaut Courtois has been out of action since early September with a knee injury but is expected to return in early December.
Asmir Begovic has proved to be a more than capable replacement for the Belgian international but Mourinho is still keen to bring in some more cover to avoid being stuck with 21-year-old Jamal Blackman should Begovic be subject to injury or suspension.
Jose says he's looking to sign an out-of-contract goalkeeper for cover and Marco Amelia has been training here for a couple of days. #CFC

It is rumoured that the 33-year-old veteran will sign a contract with Chelsea until the end of the season having completed a medical with the club, as per the Metro.
Amelia has nine caps for Italy and was part of their World Cup winning squad in 2006 and Mourinho has snapped up the free agent to bolster his goalkeeping options.
