Coventry cruised back into the top six with a comfortable 3-0 win over Shrewsbury.
Tony Mowbray's side could have been out of sight by half-time - they had four penalty claims turned down and were denied in three one-on-ones by Shrewsbury goalkeeper Mark Halstead.
They had to settle for a two-goal lead thanks to Adam Armstrong's seventh of the season - firing in from 20 yards after a neat touch from Marc-Antoine Fortune in the 26th minute.
They finally made their pressure tell and grabbed a second in first-half injury-time when Fortune was held in the box by Nathaniel Knight-Percival which resulted in a spot-kick. Fortune stepped up to take the penalty and made no mistake.
Shrewsbury had to start better in the second half and they got an early glimpse of goal when Sulley Kaikai cracked a free-kick over the crossbar before Armstrong went close to doubling his tally at the other end.
Armstrong got another chance to get his second in the 65th minute - once again he was played in by Fortune and this time he rifled the ball into the net from the edge of the box.
