PSV manager Philip Cocu and defender Hector Moreno have visited Manchester United defender Luke Shaw in hospital after he suffered a broken leg in their clash on Tuesday.
United fans were outraged with Moreno after his reasonably reckless challenge left Shaw in agony and put him out of action for the majority of the rest of the season.
To rub salt in their wounds, Moreno, who wasn’t even booked for the challenge, went on to score a crucial goal and was awarded the man of the match award by UEFA.
But Moreno, who had his own leg broken at the World Cup last year, expressed his sorrow in the immediate aftermath of the game and later visited Shaw.
Dutch site De Telegraaf reported that Moreno, Cocu and team manager Mart van den Heuvel paid Shaw a visit at St. Anna Hospital in Geldrop.
Shaw has already had surgery on his double leg fracture and is scheduled to have further surgery today. Hopefully he makes a speedy full recovery.
