A goal in the eighth minute from the Manchester United man was enough for Vicente del Bosque's side to secure all three points, leaving them on the brink of qualification
Spain edged closer to qualification for Euro 2016 with a narrow 1-0 win over Macedonia in this Group C encounter.
Juan Mata opened the scoring early on when his attempted cross looped over the head of goalkeeper Tome Pacovski and into the far corner.
