Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has ruled out the possibility of returning to the negotiation table for Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik in January.
The Old Lady had their hearts set on acquiring the services of the Slovakia international, and reportedly had an offer of 25 million euro rejected in the off-season.
They eventually dropped their interest in Hamsik, opting instead to bring in Hernanes from Inter on deadline day.
"I don't think negotiations can resume for Hamsik in January because we brought in Hernanes, who is a major player," Marotta is quoted as saying by Goal.
"On the market we always try to sign the best players. We could not get all of our targets, but we have a large group, which last year won everything except the Champions League.
"We are a strong club and we are used to winning but also used to suffering."
