Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia admits manager Roberto Mancini played a massive role in his move to the San Siro, and believes it was the "best choice" for his career.
Kondogbia joined the Nerrazzuri from Monaco in the off-season for a reported fee of €35 million, with the Italian giants fighting of competition from City rivals Milan and Premier League club Arsenal.
The Frenchman believes Mancini is the best manager to take his game to the next level and is confident his career will flourish at the San Siro.
“I’m just starting to get to know Serie A, the coach and the team," he told Sky Sport Italia. "But Inter was the best choice for me.
"I think this is the best place for me to grow and improve. Mancini can get the best out of players, I can tell. Mancini knows how to make me better.
"I’m honoured that he chose to sign me. He helps young players develop and improve and that was a big factor in me choosing Inter."
