Man United's Anthony Martial: It is normal Wayne Rooney didn't know me

Manchester United's new signing Anthony Martial admits it is"normal" if Wayne Rooney did not know he was, but has vowed to prove his worth at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old forward completed a £36 million move to United -- which could cost them up to £58 million -- on Tuesday, and admitted the fee was "crazy."
When reports of United's interest emerged on Sunday, captain Rooney turned to Martial's fellow Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin in an attempt to learn about the prospective signing.
But Martial, who has only played 72 senior games for Lyon and Monaco and is yet to win his first international cap, said he is not offended if the England captain was unaware of him.
"It's normal Rooney doesn't know me," he told reporters at a news conference in France on Wednesday.
Wayne Rooney sought out Morgan Schneiderlin for information on Manchester United's newest recruit Anthony Martial.
Martial has received his first senior France call-up for the friendlies against Portugal and Serbia and said: "It's my first time with France and I didn't play much in Ligue 1. I will learn a lot from him [Rooney]."
Even at £36m, Martial has become United's most expensive striker ever and, at £58m, he would become the second-costliest signing in Premier League history.
The youngster admitted the fee is incredible but said he will try not to be distracted by it, adding: "I don't know if I'm worth €80m [£58m]. That's between the two clubs.
"It's up to me to prove my worth. It's pretty crazy for a player of my age, but I will try to ignore that and focus only on the pitch."
