Juve say €100m “will not suffice” for Pogba

Chelsea have been warned a summer pursuit of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will cost over €100 million, meaning they would have to smash the Premier League transfer record once again, per the Daily Mirror.
The Blues had been linked with a move for Pogba, who has become one of the finest footballers in the planet since joining Juve on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012, this summer.
According to the report, the Serie A champions shunned bids from the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
Neither Juve or Chelsea have enjoyed good starts to the new season, with the Premier League champions winning just one of their first four clashes and the Old Lady suffered back to back defeats as they look for a fifth successive Serie A crown.
Juve director general Giuseppe Marotta says he rejected bids for the France star and claims, with the Premier League’s riches, it will take mega bucks to lure him from Turin.
"We decided to keep Pogba despite significant offers from foreign clubs. In future, he will be worth over €100 million," Marotta said as per the Mirror.
"I’ve noticed how the Premier League has become richer, and we’ve seen clubs buying players for what would have been crazy prices until recently, but are very normal today.
"If Pogba continues his performance of last season, I think next year, €100 million will not suffice."
The pressure on Pogba to deliver has intensified over the summer following the departures of both Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo.
The trio formed into one of the best midfields in Europe and almost guided Juve to the treble, before Vidal signed for Bayern Munich and Pirlo switched to the MLS, joining New York City FC.
