ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger has allegedly flown to France to seal a deal for Paris St-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
Wenger, who has only made one new addition to his squad this summer, is understood to be scouring the market for a world-class centre-forward.
Recently, reports have claimed the Frenchman has lined up Cavani as an alternative to Real Madrid striker Benzema, who publicly ko'd a move to the Emirates last Monday.
And according to Twitter account GestiFuteFifa, which claims to be part of the famous GestiFute agency, Wenger has flown out to Paris to finalise a deal for the Uruguayan striker.
DEAL DONE: Arsenal have allegedly agreed a deal to sign Paris St-Germain ace Edinson Cavani
Along with a picture of Wenger on a plane, the account tweeted: "Wenger has flown to Paris to discuss personal terms with Cavani. Deal is very close to being completed."
GestiFuteFifa went on to claim that the Gunners have had a £45m bid for the 28-year-old accepted by PSG.
They added: #Arsenal's payment of £45M for #PSG forward Cavani, is an initial fee of £43M up-front and then £2M in add-ons. #AFC"
GestifuteFIFA's claims regarding the reasons behind Wenger's visit to Paris are highly sensational and more than likely to be false.
