Cristiano Ronaldo pays €30,000 for Wax Statue of himself

Cristiano Ronaldo has commissioned the sculpting of a statue…of himself.
The Ballon D’Or holder was so fond of the wax statue housed in Madrid’s Wax Museum since 2013 that he’s decided to buy one for himself.
Ronaldo has parted with the sum of 20,000 pounds, roughly 30,000 euros for the statue, which will decorate his Madrid mansion.
Ronaldo is notoriously on the egocentric side, and is famed for his perpetually well-groomed appearance and chiselled physique, which he needs no second invitation to show to the world.
He infamously took his shirt off after scoring a late and inconsequential penalty in the 2014 Champions League final, revealing his chiseled physique for no other reason than sheer vanity.
But paying for a wax statue of himself is almost taking it to self-parody levels.
Sculptor Michael Wade, who’s been tasked with creating a new wax Ronaldo, told the Sun on Sunday:
‘We still had the mould that we’d used to sculpt him in 2013, so this copy was a complete duplicate. And Ronaldo sent us a football kit and his latest boots to make it up to date.
"We left the hair alone, because that’s exactly how he wanted it. We put all the hair in, one at a time and then, in Madrid, his hairdresser came along to cut it".
