Dagenham's search for a first win this season goes on after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home with Stevenage.

In a half of few guilt-edged chances, it was Daggers who took the lead in the 29th minute through Ashley Hemmings.

The midfielder picked up the ball in the middle of the pitch 25 yards out and after beating two defenders, let fly with his left foot in to the top left corner.

Boro could have got themselves level in the 40th minute when Brett Williams prodded the ball at goal from close range, only to see Liam O'Brien produce a brilliant save.

In the 62nd minute, Jamie Cureton, who turned 40 on Friday, had two efforts from close range cleared off the line as Dagenham looked to extend their lead.

Stevenage were level in the 75th minute when Tom Hitchcock turned in Williams' header across goal in to the bottom left corner.

Daggers had chances to grab a late winner in front of their home crowd but it was to no avail as they claimed just their second point of the season.
