Mesut Ozil took a break from the demands of being a Premier League footballer on Thursday evening as he enjoyed some quality family time.

The Arsenal star was preparing to travel up north with his Gunners team-mates ahead of Saturday’s clash with Newcastle United at St James’ Park in the Premier League.

However, the Germany playmaker enjoyed spending some time with his young niece Mira on Thursday evening before turning his attentions back to the Gunners.

Ozil posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: "M&M #love #LaFamilia"

Arsenal are looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League after being held to a goalless draw by Liverpool in their most recent top-flight outing on Monday night.

The Gunners have taken just four points from their opening three games after losing their first match against West Ham United at Emirates Stadium earlier this month.

Arsenal will face Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League group stage.
