Swindon vs Sheffield United preview - Swindon short of numbers up front

Swindon remain light up front as they prepare for the visit of Sheffield United.

With Jon Obika (foot) and Jermaine Hylton (collarbone) currently sidelined, Michael Smith and Miles Storey are the only two fit strikers available to Robins boss Mark Cooper, who is still in the market for another striker.

To add to Swindon's injury woes, captain Nathan Thompson is facing a spell out after straining his groin in the early stages of the win at Southend last weekend.

However, both Yaser Kasim and Jordan Williams will feature against the Blades before reporting for international duty with Iraq and Wales respectively, but new signing Jordan Stewart is still unavailable.

Sheffield United will be without suspended pair Jose Baxter and Kieran Wallace for the trip.

Baxter is begging a three-match ban and Wallace a one-match ban for their respective red cards in Tuesday's 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat at Fulham.

Defender Neill Collins is "progressing" in his recovery from a calf injury and could make it while boss Nigel Adkins admits to having "quite a few injuries", though did not specify who.

The Blades are returning to the scene of last season's play-off semi-final second leg, where they drew 5-5 with Swindon but went out 7-6 on aggregate.
