Blackburn Rovers vs Bolton Wanderers preview - Rhodes could make Rovers return against Bolton

Blackburn could have Jordan Rhodes back in their ranks for their derby with fellow winless outfit Bolton at Ewood Park.

Rhodes has missed the past two games with an ankle problem picked up in a clash with his old club Huddersfield, yet manager Gary Bowyer revealed he is "desperate" to return.

Adam Henley and Jason Lowe are both over the illnesses which forced them to miss out against Brighton and prevented Blackburn from naming seven substitutes on their bench,

Midfielder Chris Taylor (groin) and striker Chris Brown (knee) are still missing for the east Lancashire club, though.

Neil Lennon will have the same pool of Bolton players to select from.

Summer signing Derik Osede (ankle) and midfielder Liam Trotter (hamstring) trained on Thursday but will not be considered until after the international break.

Captain Darren Pratley (ankle) should also be available again following the two-week hiatus while David Wheater's Achilles problem could keep him sidelined for a little longer than that.

Striker Max Clayton (knee) is Wanderers' other injury absentee, while confirmation of full-back Jose Casado's arrival on a 12-month deal is expected soon.
