Inter Milan have agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Argentine winger Erik Lamela according to Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to reports the Italian side will pay 6million Euro’s to sign the 23 year-old on loan for €6million with an option to make the deal permanent €14million.
The Argentine has struggled to hit the ground running at White Hart Lane following his big money move from Roma. A fee in the region of £29million was paid for the winger making him the most expensive player in the clubs history.
Despite seeing flashes of Erik Lamela’s undoubted talent including a world class rabona in the Europe league during a 5–1 victory over Asteras Tripoli, it has been a rather frustrating time for both the player and the clubs fans and it seems as though Tottenham boss Maurcio Pochettino has deemed the winger surplus to requirements in North London.
The apparent departure of Erik Lamela will only heighten further speculation surrounding in-comings at White Hart Lane before the end of the transfer window on September 1st. It is understood that the club will certainly bring in new signings before next Tuesday’s deadline with West Brom’s Saido Berahino and Crystal Place’s Yannick Bolasie linked with moves to White Hart Lane.
