Alexis Sanchez took to social media on Saturday to deliver some good news for Arsenal fans ahead of Monday night’s clash with Liverpool.

The Chile international has been hitting the gym with fellow Arsenal team-mate Jack Wilshere as the Gunners prepare to welcome the Merseyside outfit to Emirates Stadium.

Wilshere is currently sidelined with a hairline fracture to his ankle but is now stepping up his recovery in the gym.

And Sanchez used his personal Instagram account to share a series of photos with the England midfielder as the pair worked on their fitness levels over the weekend.

Sanchez shared the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: "Finishing gym with my friend Wilshere who is going to be in shape to be soon with us"

Sanchez joined Arsenal in a £35m deal from Barcelona last summer and helped the Gunners finish third and win the FA Cup.

Arsenal are currently 11th in the Premier League table after their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last weekend.
