Carlisle vs AFC Wimbledon preview - Cumbrians could recall duo

Carlisle midfielders Patrick Brough and Bastien Hery could be recalled for the home game against AFC Wimbledon.

Brough was rested and missed the 4-1 midweek defeat at Plymouth altogether while Hery started on the bench and boss Keith Curle may want to make further changes as his side chases their first win of the season.

David Atkinson has been ruled out long-term due to a torn hamstring and is waiting for the results of a scan, and fellow defender Courtney Meppen-Walter is unlikely to feature despite returning from a trial spell at Bolton.

Defender Alex McQueen could be in contention for his first start, while striker Angelo Balanta and midfielder Kevin Osei hope to retain their places after making their league debuts on Tuesday night.

AFC Wimbledon have no new injury concerns.

Boss Neal Ardley has a fully-fit squad to choose from and could make changes after the midweek defeat by Cambridge.

Callum Kennedy, Dannie Bulman and Sean Rigg were all restored to the side on Tuesday night despite the Dons beating Crawley for their first win of the season the previous Saturday.

Lyle Taylor, Jon Meades and George Francomb were the men to make way so they will be pushing for recalls.
