Henderson relishing Stoke clash

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is relishing the club's season opener with Stoke and is confident they can put to bed the heavy defeat they suffered on the final day of last season.
The Reds were dismantled 6-1 by the Potters in Steven Gerrard's last game for the Anfield outfit as Brendan Rodgers' squad finished their campaign in disappointing fashion.
The sides will now square off in their season opener on Saturday and Henderson believes starting at the Britannia is the ideal place for the club to both vanquish the memories of the humiliating loss and show the quality of their new signings.
"That is the way you have got to look at it," Henderson said in The Times. "There couldn't be a better place for us to start and put what happened there last season to bed. It doesn't matter what happened last season now.
"They are a good team but so are we. We will be stronger with the new players that we have got. We are a young team, but we have brought in quality.
"We have been performing well during preseason and have got great quality in the team. We have got togetherness and we need that going away to Stoke."
