Adidas branded 'sexist' over new Manchester United shirt

SPORTSWEAR giant Adidas have been blasted "disgrace" after revealing the new "sexist" Manchester United women's shirt.

The kit, which features a plunging neckline, has was released on Saturday morning.
But many online have jumped on the manufacturers claiming the new design is "horrendous".
Twitter user @MUnitedGirl led the social media lambasting, saying: "Seriously @adidas?! why is the V neck so low compared with mens one? Some of us don't like to show cleavage."
She later posted a photo of a previous jersey, captioning it: "For those asking, @nikefootball ladies kit;perfect fit, exactly same design as mens &modest."
Others followed suit and shared their criticisms of the new shirt, which was released at the same time as the men's design.
Some women proposed that they would now be buying the men's version.
The kit is the first for Manchester United to be made by Adidas since 1992.
The German brand had outbid rivals Nike to a £750million 10-year deal earlier this year.
Manchester United will kick-off their Premier League season at home to Tottenham on Saturday.
Daily Star Online have contacted Adidas for comment.
