ARSENAL have signed Benfica goalkeeping sensation Joao Virginia, according to reports.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly tied up a deal for Joao Virginia
The Metro, via sources in Portugal, claim the 15-year-old has signed a contract after the two clubs agreed terms.
Reports suggest he has penned a four-year deal
Virginia had a trial at United earlier this year and was thought to be close to a switch to Old Trafford.
But the Gunners appear to have pipped their rivals for the young star's signature.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is still thought to be in the market for another goalkeeper because of uncertainty surrounding David de Gea's future.
However, he has already signed Sergio Romero and remains hopeful of keeping De Gea from Real Madrid's clutches.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have strength in depth in the goalkeeping department after signing Petr Cech from Chelsea in the summer.
Wojciech Szczesny has joined Roma on loan but they still have David Ospina as back up.
