McLaren coy on new additions

Newcastle manager Steve McLaren insists he will only consider further additions at the club after assessing the impact the club's new players will have on the squad.
McLaren replaced caretaker boss John Carver last month following a nerve-wracking final day of the season where the Magpies narrowly avoided relegation, and he has since added two new players at St James Park, with Aleksandar Mitrovic arriving from Anderlecht and Georginio Wijnaldum from PSV.
Chancel Mbemba is expected to follow the duo to Tyneside should he be granted a visa but McLaren remained coy on any other players joining before the end of the transfer window, despite reports suggesting they are eyeing a bid for QPR striker Charlie Austin.
"We've really been concentrating on those first few deals," the former Twente boss told Chronicle Live.
"We were really concentrating on getting Wijnaldum in, which we've done, and before we start thinking about anybody else, I'd like to see the other two out there because that'll give us a much better idea of where we're at.
"I haven't been able to see Mitrovic or Mbemba since coming back from the States yet, so let's deal with one thing at a time and get them out there training and integrated into the squad.
"Then we'll wait for further developments if they happen."
