Pep Guardiola has agreed to take over at Manchester City at the end of next season.
This is not the first time the global sport media group have made such a claim about the Bayern Munich boss; indeed, last Spring it was their Arabic website that claimed he had made such an agreement to take over at the Etihad this coming season.
This time, it is beIN’s French account that makes the claim claim, reporting that he has agreed to take over for the 2016/17 season, after finishing out his contract at Bayern Munich, which takes him through to the end of this coming season.
BeIN claim that along with the fresh challenge offered by City, Pep is also ready to leave Bayern, having suffered a breakdown in relations with the players, which was exposed in last season’s Champions League.
Having fallen out with Mario Mandzukic in 2014, which resulted in the Croat being transferred to Atletico, Pep’s relationship with Thomas Muller is believed to have deteriorated, following their public argument during the Champions League game against Barcelona last season.
