Chinese go wild for Real Madrid

Real Madrid landed in China and the players have once again borne witness to the incredible support of local fans.
Just as in previous visits to Asia, a huge crowd awaited the players in the international Airport terminal at the start of the club's pre-season tour, but the bulk of Chinese fans were to be found outside the club's hotel.
At the doors of the Ritz Carlton in Guangzhou, a sea of fans, the vast majority teenagers, gathered in the hope of catching a glimpse of their idols and the lucky ones getting maybe even a photo or an autograph. Most fans were sporting Ronaldo's number 7 jersey, although those belonging to Benzema, Modric, Marcelo and even Guti were also in evidence.
The team bus arrived at the luxury hotel without stopping, whilst a dozen security staff stood guard just in case. The perimeter fence successfully kept the crowd at bay, although some did try and break through to get a closer look at Los Blancos. They'll have another chance tomorrow to show the players their support during the team's training session at the Tianhe Stadium.
