Jackson Martinez's week

The Colombian is enjoying the last days of his holidays after taking part in the Copa America and will soon be joining forces with Atletico de Madrid.
This is the week in which Jackson Martinez will officially become a member of the 'Rojiblancos'.
In a few days' time, the Colombian will arrive in Madrid to then meet up with the Atletico squad in their summer training camp in San Rafael, as will the two Uruguayans, Godin and Gimenez. And unless an exit deal is closed soon, Mexico's Raul Jimenez will be joining them, too. At the Calderon, they are trying to decide on the best date to present their new signing to the public.
The chain of events that have led up to the unveiling ceremony has been pretty straightforward. Miguel Angel Gil and Pinto da
Costa met on 21st June in Portugal to seal the deal. The Atletico CEO agreed to pay Porto the 35 million euros that were stipulated in the forward's buy-out clause.
Jackson has signed the contract and has passed the medical check without any problems. The 28-year-old played for three seasons at Porto and has become Atletico's second most expensive signing ever, after his fellow countryman Falcao.
