Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that if he was in charge of Juventus he would sell Paul Pogba this summer, reports Football-Italia.
The former Manchester United manager infamously let a teenage Pogba’s contract expire at the club in 2012, and the Frenchman moved to Juventus on a free transfer. Furthermore, within months the midfielder had developed into a regular starter at the Old Lady.
Now Pogba is, according to the report, worth €100 million and at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between Champions League winners Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. Meanwhile, Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the midfield superstar, as reported by the Mirror.
Paul Pogba won an impressive 55% of his duels last season in Serie A.
However Ferguson, speaking with Tuttosport, admitted that he would sell the talented midfielder.
He said, as reported by Football-Italia: "I would sell Pogba. It’s true, I already let him go, but if I were Juve now then I’d sell."
Pogba scored eight goals in 26 league appearances for Juventus last season as the Turin-based club finished top of Serie A and also reached the final of the Champions League.
Pogba played the full 90 minutes 76.9% of the time in Serie A this season
The midfielder also registered three assists last season and his ability on the ball and passing technique has earned the youngster plaudits across the globe.
Pogba made just three appearances for Manchester United’s first team in the Premier League, and has gone on to represent France 23 times since departing England.
