Real Madrid store drops keepers' shirts

Real Madrid's goalkeeper saga has now reached the club's store at the Santiago Bernabeu, where none of their shirts are on sale. There was no sign of Iker Casillas's no. 1 shirt, Keylor Navas's no. 13 or Fernando Pacheco's no. 25 on Friday, mainly due to the uncertainty surrounding Los Blancos' keepers.
Things were very different a year ago, when Casillas, Keylor and Diego Lopez's shirts were all on sale together. Right now, on the other hand, the club's goalkeeping shirts are being displayed without names. Anyone wanting theirs printed with a name has to specifically ask for it.
The decision is more than just surprising. Real Madrid not only removed the shirt of a club legend like Casillas - before his departure had even been announced -, but they also removed that of their number two keeper, Keylor Navas, who still has years left on his contract. On top of that they have removed Pacheco's shirt, despite the academy player earning the right to have his on sale in the club's shop.
The absence of Casillas's shirt led to several fans asking for the captain's name to be printed on theirs. More than 300 fans descended on the Bernabéu for Iker's testimonial, and when this did not take place, they ended up in the club's store looking for his shirt instead.
